James Hutton, Founder.

Working with leaders both nationally and internationally across a range of industries from media, technology, sports, entertainment, travel, power, banking and public relations to name a few. James’ clients vary from those recognised as having potential through to people on Executive Committees and Boards.

Shift was founded by James because he's passionate about the difference development and coaching can make to a business. James worked for many years as a Talent and  Organisational Development specialist, most recently for News UK (The Times, Sunday Times, The Sun and Wireless Radio Group), and witnessed first-hand the powerful impact coaching can have both on individuals and on an organisation.

James is known for designing and delivering leadership development programmes, organisational change initiatives, facilitation of senior team events and working with talented individuals to help them achieve their potential.

Executive Coaching

Working with a new Exec member during their first 100 days, or offering support during times of change, Executive Coaching can be an invaluable resource. 

Spot Coaching

Short ‘sprint’ sessions over the course of a day or number of days to enable more people to benefit from coaching.

Team Coaching

Individual coaching can be a powerful way to help someone improve their performance and self-awareness. Sometimes, however, it can be useful to coach an entire team.

Facilitation

Too often meetings and team events fail to achieve what they set out to. External facilitation of a meeting, team event or off-site can be the key to getting real results.

We are not convinced with ‘off the shelf’ development.
